Our senior leadership team each bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to their role and to the college. The team come from a variety of backgrounds and work tirelessly to enable the college to function as a key member of the Carterton Community Schools Federation.
Mr Damian Booth
Damian is the Executive Headteacher of Carterton Community School’s Federation and as such works across the town of Carterton ensuring that all pupils’ needs are met in the three schools. He has over 15 years leadership experience, 12 as headteacher. He has also worked as a school improvement adviser for Oxfordshire county Council and as an Ofsted inspector.
Mr Peter Almgill
Federation Business Manager
Peter is responsible for all the financial and operational aspects of the College. He joined the school in 2014 after a very distinguished career in the BBC. The college benefits from Peter’s strategic thinking and flexibility. He is determined to make the college a central driving force in enabling the federation of schools to succeed.
Mr Ed Brodhurst
Ed has the responsibility of moving forward teaching and learning at the college. He is passionate about developing a coaching and mentoring system that supports teachers in sharing good practice. Ed has had a variety of roles in the past but his knowledge of T&L and assessment is now driving the school towards outstanding. Ed can usually be found on the climbing wall as he is also our qualified member of staff.
Mr Kevin Slater
Kevin has the responsibility for monitoring outcomes for all our students. He is an accomplished maths teacher and in between sharing his enthusiasm for mathematics he is in charge of how we analyse our data and keeping track of how we monitor progress. He has a passion for motivating and pushing our students to reach their potential.
Mr Neil Taylor
Assistant Headteacher, Head of Post 16
As well as being an Assistant Headteacher, Neil is also Head of Sixth Form with the responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Sixth Form, the academic progress and pastoral welfare of the Sixth Form students and the operation of the Sixth Form centre. He is also responsible for the College curriculum and learning pathways.
Miss Sarah Zasada
Sarah is our head of pastoral and as such has the responsibility for school behaviour, safety and student welfare. She leads an outstanding team of caring professionals that go above and beyond to ensure students fulfill and exceed their potential. There isn’t any barrier that can’t be overcome by her tenacity and passion for student well being.
