Post 16 Provision


Our Post 16 provision is designed to be agile and responsive to individual needs and interests and the demands of the local economy.

It has a wide range of provisions for learners of different abilities and starting points including a mixture of academic and vocational courses.

All Post 16 courses are allocated 8 hours of lessons per fortnight with science courses having an additional hour for practical content.

Core Maths  

GCSE retakes in English and Maths are also available for students who have not achieved a grade 4 or above.

In addition, all sixth form students follow a course in Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development (SMSC) which includes RE, attend a weekly assembly and tutorial session, and are able to take part in physical education activities if they wish. They are expected to carry out community service in Year 12 or 13 if time permits.
