A Level and Post-16 Results 2021
After two years of significant disruption to their schooling our Year 11
students celebrated their tremendous and justly deserved results. Our students have shown deep
commitment, resilience and fortitude over the last two years, and especially during the ten-week
assessment period upon which their results are founded. They have done so with great collective spirit,
supporting each other and being supported by their families.
After a turbulent period of time for all in our community, special thanks to
the staff of the school for their unstinting care and support for our students meaning they can move
onto their chosen post-16 destinations with confidence in their accomplishments and of further success
in the future.
Comparative Post-16 Performance (2020/2021)
We are delighted and proud of our students’ achievements this year especially
given the disruption to their Year 12 and Year 13 education. Our 2021 results are testament to the
dedication of teachers and students, throughout periods of lockdown, and particularly during the
ten-week period of rigorous internal assessments leading to their awarded grades.
Congratulations to our students who have all been offered places at their first
choice of Universities across the UK, to embark on degrees such as Architecture, Civil Engineering,
Psychology and Criminology. Destinations for students who achieved three or more A*/A grades include
Physics and Scientific Computing at Bristol University, Creative Writing at Bournemouth University,
History at Oxford University and Midwifery at Bedfordshire. Students commencing apprenticeships
this year have faced increased competition so deserve congratulations as they commence their careers in
disciplines such as Accountancy, Cyber-Security and Engineering.
