Student Life and Outcomes at CCC6th

Students at CCC6th are happy, ambitious and successful. We combine high expectations with personalised support, encouraging every student to aim high and make the most of their time in Sixth Form.

The vast majority of our students leave us having achieved the qualifications they need to progress to their chosen pathway — whether that is university, the military, a higher or degree apprenticeship, further training or direct employment. Our students progress to a diverse range of destinations, reflecting their individual ambitions and the breadth of opportunities available after Sixth Form.

We are a growing Sixth Form with improving outcomes and high aspirations for the future. Our students benefit from a close-knit community where they are known as individuals, challenged academically and supported to become increasingly independent. By the time they leave CCC6th, we want every student to be well-prepared, confident and future-focused, equipped with both the qualifications and wider skills needed to succeed in their next steps. 

Most recently, we saw a 52% increase in the proportion of students achieving two or more A Levels and a 34% increase in those achieving three or more A Levels. High attainment also strengthened, with the proportion of A/A* grades increasing by 10.5% and A*–C grades by 13%. 

We are immensly proud of the success of our students and their chosen destinations.

Our enrichment offer is vibrant and diverse. Across the year, students take part in local, national and international visits that bring their learning to life and widen their horizons. From subject-specific enrichment to trips that enhance cultural and personal development, students experience learning that stretches beyond textbooks and into the real world.

Character, Leadership and Contribution

Personal development sits at the heart of CCC6th. Our Sixth Formers play an active role across the wider school community—supporting younger students through mentoring, paired reading schemes, classroom support and leadership activities. They take pride in their position as role models and are central to inspiring the next generation of learners.

A Community That Values Student Voice

Student life is enriched through leadership roles, specialist clubs, volunteering initiatives and access to excellent sports facilities. Students benefit from a strong voice within the Sixth Form, contributing to college decision-making and shaping the future of CCC6th. These experiences build confidence, oracy, independence and emotional literacy—skills that underpin success in adulthood.

Our alumni include students studying at Russell Group universities such as Oxford, Durham, Southampton and York, as well as those moving into prestigious fields across life sciences, physical sciences, law, and the arts and humanities.
